In response to the latest weekly photo challenge regarding the future, I also sought out how I could incorporate one of this past week’s daily one-word prompts…green. The following two photos are what I came up with:
Each photo was touched-up using Lightroom 6. The first photo is of one of the day-lily bulbs we planted two summers ago, which has begun sprouting this spring. Second is the shadow of our son encompassing one of the other lily bulbs we planted. Both photos are symbolic of my future, as well as the growth and beauty that is and will continue to come in my life. I hope you enjoy them and have a great day!

Love both of the photos. So green those lilies are, wonderful work on the touch up. It looks like spring is in the air for you and the plants are eager to come out and play and show off what they’ve got 🙂

Thank you very much! I still have a lot to learn about the finer points of Lightroom; I more-or-less just play around with the sliders until I like how it looks…lol. We are certainly hoping that spring will stick around. We moved to South Dakota two years ago and have had snow on the ground mid-May two years in a row soooooo……here’s to hoping some snow isn’t in our future :S
Thanks again! 🙂

Such a small green growing plants is indeed something nice to look at. It brings a lot of analogies about what lies ahead on out journey.

Thank you very much! I’ve got a ton to learn about photography and these challenges are a nice way to go about doing so, so I’m really enjoying it. Really glad you’re enjoying my blog; I’m really enjoying yours, as well! Thanks for stopping by! 🙂

You need to teach me how to take pix! I used to be a nerd about it, but got over it when smartphone cameras became good enough. I have an old Nikon DSLR that’s collecting dust.

lol…while I appreciate you liking my pics well enough to think I could teach you, I freely admit that the majority of my stuff is not that great of quality. I understand a few basics but, honestly, most of my “good” shots are generally attributable to pure dumb luck 🙂
I do love my Nikon and have every desire to continue learning and practicing though. Like the guitar (that we’ve both started and stopped multiple times :),) practice makes perfect! Knock the dust off and get to it, Vic. An excellent site with lots of tutorials is http://digital-photography-school.com/
Thanks again, man! 🙂
